PSD offer a variety of  testing services to complement our equipment and products.  Our mud testing services are usually used to assess which equipment and products might provide the most appropriate solution to a mud cleaning or waste mud clean up problem.

In addition we have a range of Fann site rheometers available for rental.  We also carry for sale stocks of site mud testing equipment such as mud balances, Marsh funnels and sand content kits.

Particle size analysis is an important tool in selecting the most appropriate separation equipment to be used on a project.  PSD use a Malvern Mastersizer to determine the distribution of particles in a slurry.

Our laboratory centrifuge equipment is capable of determining the effectiveness of a full size centrifuge on a sample.  Centrifuging may be carried out on untreated muds or on flocculated muds.

Using our laboratory facilities, we are able to carry out tests to determine the most economical products within our range for carrying out flocculation.  Results can normally be made available within 24 hours of a sample being received by our lab.

We are able to carry out analysis to calculate the moisture content of samples.  This can be used to give an assessment of the likely moisture content of a discharged solid that could be achieved by use of our separation equipment.

We carry stocks of mud testing & monitoring equipment and have some items available for rental. Our range of Fann site rheometers includes units powered by hand crank, 12V DC or 220V AC and digital display 6 speed laboratory rheometers with 220V AC supply.
