PSD is to provide centrifuge and flocculation equipment as part of a major project to clean up the bed of the Kishon River at Haifa in Israel. Special barges will dredge the riverbed and the dredgings will be bio-remediated. PSD's equipment will be used to partially dewater the dredgings prior to the bio-remediation process. The treated soil will be used to build up the banks of the river, which will form the gateway to a large metropolitan park. The Kishon River was once regarded as the most polluted river in Israel, but the project has already resulted in a significant improvement in water quality and the return of wildlife that was forced to leave the river because of the pollution.
