Thiess Pty Limited of Australia have awarded to PSD the contract to supply the Slurry Treatment Plant for the Victorian Desalination Project in Melbourne. Representatives of Thiess visited PSD's offices in the UK to sign the contracts and for meetings about the project. Director Glen Ashton, Project Manager Glyn Edwards and Plant Operations Superintendent Martin Bell braved freezing temperatures to inspect the condition of equipment, which PSD had begun preparing in advance of the contracts being signed.
PSD are supplying Thiess with 2 No. 1000m3/hr Slurry Treatment Plants to support 2 No. slurry TBMs, excavating at 4770mm diameter. Start of tunnelling is scheduled for June/July 2010. Read more |
